How do I check the warranty on an X2 CPU?

Hi,

1: CPU is installed. Can I read the information needed using software, or do I have to remove the HS and read the numbers manually?

2: How do I check the warranty? OEM? Retail?

Retail boxes should have all the info, otherwise OEMs, you would have to remove so see the IHS.
