How do I change the type of My Documents?

This is gettin really into my head....every time it opens it think that the folder is a music folder and i can see columns like artist, album, year, duration and all in detail view which is something i dont want...everytime i change it to detail view and remove the unwanted colums it still comes back...what do i do?

i'm on winxp pro + sp1

Under View, go to Choose details choose your details, then go to tools>folder options>view tab click the apply to all folders. Windows should now remember your preferences for at least 10 minutes. There's a registry hack you need to define a little more clearly what "all folders" is supposed to mean. by default I think its like the next four folders you open, but with the reghack it can be whatever number.
