How do I change the Screen resolution in Radhat 7.1???

Do you have multiple resolutions specified in your XF86Config-4? If so, just press "alt" + "ctrl" + "+" to increase it and "alt" + "ctrl" + "-" to decrease it.

If not, you may want to run Xconfigurator. Hopefully your setup isnt that unusual or you may need the specs on your hardware.

tried x-configurator and the ctrl-alt- + or minus, but that didn';t work I did have 3 or four different res's selected but no luck. Is there a way to exit the window manager and get directly to the command line? I can't figure that out cuz I think I can run X configuratopr from a command line to change the resolution.

Do Alt-Ctrl-F1 to go to another terminal. Then you can run "/usr/X11R6/bin/Xconfigurator" for the graphical xconfigurator, or "/usr/X11R6/bin/xf86config" for the non-graphical one.

To get back to X, do Alt-Ctrl-F7
