How do I change the installed com port for modem?

I just installed a USR pci modem. Before installing I removed the old modem (com2) and then installed the USR as per the instructions. The modem installed itself to com5, not to com2 as I had expected. The modem is working as I am using it now, but shouldn't it be configured as com2?

How would I go about changing it to com2?

edit: BTW - com2 is available, shows "No modem installed"

I found the answer, in the troubleshooting FAQ's from USR it says that the modem can only be installed as com5 in Win95/98/ME. It says only in WinXP will it be assigned the next available com port.
