How do I change the Icon for Desert Combat?

I encountered some compatability issues because I installed the full version of the current patch instead of using the incremental from. I had to uninstall BF 1942 and re-install to the current version along with RTR and SW but now when I install Desert Combat the exe it is just a generic exe, I want the tank icon, how can I get it?

Have you tied going into the folder where where BF1942.exe or which ever you wanted resides at and just create a new short to the desktop?

Yes thats where I discovered the generic exe file. If I create a shortcut it just duplicates the square box no icon. I have the full 500mb patch but iwonder if I have to start from 35e full install?

Right click on the shortcut, go to the shortcut tab. On the bottom click change icon. Browse to your BF install folder and select the .exe with the icon.

thanks bunker I knew I had to be overlooking something in Win XP, I knwe it was possible just couldn't figure it out.
