How do i change my name on Trillian?

i am trying to use trillian because msn is being stupid with its connection refused/denied.

so anyways, i change my name inside trillian, but people still see me as the one when i used msn.

to change my name, i have to log back in to msn and change it, and then log out.

there has to be a way around this
as u can see, my current name in trillian is test #2
on msn is test #1.
when i ask people what name they see, they say test #1.

so how do i do this "local change of your display name" as mentioned by trillian?

Is this for your MSN name in Trillian? If so, just right click on your blue icon at the bottom of the program and you can set your display name to whatever you like.

yeah exactly what i did.
but the problem is that it doesnt reflect the change for people on my contacts.

even if i change my name to "NAME TESTING" inside Trillian, people who use MSN, still dont see it in their MSN

AirForce, I had the same problem as you awhile ago and I have still not found a way around loading MSN to change it :/.
