How Do I Change Bootdrive Letter?

I just setup a new rig with 2 hard drives and installed winxp on it. One is a 40 gig WD set on master by itself and the other is a 30 gig maxtor set on slave on the 2nd IDE channel. For some reason, my backup drive was given the letter C: while my bootdrive was given E:!!! I don't know what happened. How can I change the WD to C: and will there be any problems with the letter reassign? Thanks
