How Do I Change a Lightbulb?

Embarrassing, I know. But I have tried and failed. Help!
'97 Civic EX 4 dr sedan. The front passenger side directional side bulb is out, and for the life of me I can't figure out how to get at it so I can replace it. Before I resort to riding a bicycle, can someone help?
Thank you. 😱

I have a 2001 civic and you have to go through the wheel well to get to mine. Not sure if it is the same but there are a couple of plastic "clips" that hold the plastic protective thingy to the wheelwell itself. Take those off and then you can pull back the plastic and you can get to it then. Also, you could take your car to AutoZone or Advance Auto Parts, buy the bulb and ask one of the guys there to install it. Make sure to watch him.

Good point! The library usually carries these.

Sometimes, even your OWNERS manual can help. You obviously know how to post on internet message boards. Have you tried a Honda site? There are quite a few Honda enthusiast clubs online. I bet one of them has a FAQ for changing bulbs 😉

I located the clips in the wheel well. Quite a pain in the ass to access a bulb, but so be it. I think my next car will be a Diahatsu.

Cool. You should be able to use a flathead screwdrive to pry the clip out of the hole. They look like big plastic nails. Once you pull back the wheel well cover the bulb should be staring at you.
