How do I calculate 95% confidence limits?

If you have n<30, use the student t distribution to get your critical value for calculating the error. Then just use xbar - E < u < xbar + E. Else, use the regular z instead of the t.

I hate to bring this thread from the dead, but i could not help but to advice to RTFM........errr....textbook, not the manual
