How do I buzz my head?

I'm thinking of getting a really short buzz cut and would like to know if i can do it by myself or would someone have to do it for me?
What kind of equiment would I need, clippers? And in what direction, front to back, back to front, would i need to buzz?

You can do it by yourself. I try to go over everywhere at least 3-4 times with the clippers, to make sure I really do get all the stuff on the back that I cant see, and to make sure they are all of the same length. Just go against the grain and you'll be fine. When you think you're done, either have someone look at your head, or just rub your hands over the stubble, its very easy to tell if you missed that way. The only part you might want to have someone do is shave the little hairs on your neck, if you are really cutting it short (like I do, I use a 1/8" attachment), the hairs at the base of your neck look funny if they arent shorter or at least totally even with the rest.

I know it's late, but was that supposed to make any sense in relation to this thread?

nachiketa1 it's real easy. Just hit up walmart and pick up a set of clippers. You can get a 20 piece set for about $20-$25, just make sure it has the length you want. I usually use 3/8" or 1/4", depending on how short I want it. Like Mookow said, just go against the grain. That typically means back to front on the back of your head and front to back on the front and top of your head.
