Get to the "Customize" page for the unit in question, "Continue", Add To Cart, checkout.

if i could get to the customize page, it'd be happy

Link me to the system you want.

http://www.dell.com/content/products/category.aspx/entnb?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs

need to click on E1405, so I do. Then it takes me to this BS page that I can't get out of into customization

dells r such a rip i boutght a 1200$ destop from them and put 800$ into it 7 months later mostly so i can play games like oblivion now but still they're a rip

Click the continue button in the flash animation. A list of four types of the 1405 witll be shown, click the "customize it" button on the one you want.

Or, click here.

That's your fault. For most people, Dell's are more than enough. You just didn't plan things out.

no basically what happened is my parents didnt want me to get a "gaming computer" because they were afraid i wouldn't study then i pulled a 4.0 first semster and they changed their minds and let me upgrade it(aka paid for most of the parts)

And that's Dell's fault...how?

Don't forget to use the $300 off $999 coupon and buy a $35 off $300 coupon (yes it's stackable) off eBay for around $1.49

yea i hate to admit it but they are buying me a car next year if i can keep my grades up lol
not brand new but something around 2-5 years old

guess i shouldve said im mad at dell because they overcharge a ****** load and they dont always work the greatest if u upgrade them but thats kind of a desktop thing its a lot harder to build ur own laptop and the parts arent nearly as cheap
(also i have a friend looking for a barebones laptop if there is a place to get such a thing)

upgrade problems caused by things like 300 watt PSU not being enough for some rigs somecards just plaing dont work on dell mobos i bought a x600xt on ebay work for my friend worked for seller worked for person i sold it to just didnt work in mine but my newer c3d x800GTO runs good as did the x300se it came with and if u want to add drives in a desktop u need to buy those clips that they sell for some ridiculous amount ebay has them cheap but i dont have paypal so yea...
