how do i build mass.. i hate being skinny...

muscle mass.. not fat mass.. i can do the later by eating...


im gonna go on a hardcore workout regimine for the next couple months to get fit for the summer.... What suppliments/concoctions can i drink/take that can make me bulk up..... im currently 5'10 160 lbs... skinny relatively. I wanna bulk to maybe 180.

what should i take?

that's not skinny. untill 24 i was 5' 11" and 130 lbs. now i stand at an even 6' 0" and weigh 225 :(. i'd like to get to about 180.

only way is to build muscle mass, but if your body type is not prone to that, you won't get too far.
Get fit, then learn to accept yourself; it's the only way.

just eat a balanced diet according to your level of activity. The supplements are a waste of good money.

Workout hard with weights (don't overtrain though...) and eat a lot of food at frequent intervals, especially protein rich food.

So you need to lose your gut and build muscle eh?

If you were just straight-up skinny then I would say pile on the protein and go work-out. But if you did that I bet that your gut would also get larger, which you do not want.

What you NEED to do is start working out, and start eating RIGHT. No, you don't have to eat tofu and lettuce for the rest of your life but you need to lay off the junk-food......

How many meals a day do you eat? It is recommened to eat 3 medium meals a day with 2 snacks. And no, twinkies do not count towards the snacks. Some tortilla chips for instance is a good snack (not Dorritos).

Start eating more protien, chicken (baked not fried) and tuna are great low-fat ways to get protien and they taste good. Turkey is also right there.

dude, your not skinny. I'm skinny. 6'2 155lbs Working out hard last year, I managed to gain 5 lbs...

Its pretty difficult to hange your body structure. But eat lots of protein and carbos and weight lift a lot. That should build muscle.

BTW, I'm 5'10" and 120lbs. I've almost no body fat and the only muscle on my body are my abs and maybe my legs (I'm a runner)

5'10" 160 isn't skinny, that's exactly where I'm at and I'm trying to loose another 15lbs ;)

Yeah dude, that's not skinny.

I'm 6'2" and I weigh 145 :( Try dealing with those gene's. Although it's definitely better then being a big fat-body.

I'm 76kg thats about 167lbs and I'm pretty big looking and toned.

EAT a lot of protein rich foods. Work out. Eat 2hrs before working out. Eat after working out. Drink a lot of water. Cut sodas and beers out. Drink water.

Forget the shakes just spend that money on protein foods. Work HARD and have fun. Rest only 90seconds between each set. You work yourself much harder if you are strict and give yourself only 90seconds rest.

Bur realistically you'll need a fair few months unless you have a good routine and eat properly to add mass.

SQUAT. That is the QUICKEST thing to add bulk to you. Do deep squats if your knees can take it and do reps of 10x4 sets at first. I'd say join a club to Weight LIft and you will be more motivated to train and to get mass.

You GOT to eat protein rich foods.

i was 5'10" 160 before this winter, hehe... too much time on hte forums has made me gain weight :-\ gonna have to work out again once the weather gets nice (poopy NY)

Hmm....yeah you really are not that skinny. Although many a times I look at myself and think of me being skinny (except for my gut which is slowly but surely comming off)......and I weigh 190lbs and am 5'10".
