how do i boot from winxp cd?

i want to reformat my drives booting from xp cd. i put cd in and went to bios. atapi cdrom is at the top of the prority list hpwever windows just keeps restarting and not booting from the cd
how do i boot from the cd? what am I doing wrong?

Are you sitting by the computer? There should be a "Press any key to boot from CD" prompt.

And be honest here. Did you warez WinXP? Not gonna condemn you if you do, but this affects the solution.

well to escape condemnation, i bought xp pro but it is with my parents so i downloaded a working warez version.

dude, many or the warex XP disks aren't bootable. either make one that is or buy it.
