how do i boot from previous date?

every time i boot xp tells me my profile is corrupt and boots up the default screen and settings which sux cuz it asks everytime if i wanna take the xp tour and all that crap. so how do i solve this . i thought about booting up from a previous date. what do i need to do thanks for the help
 
I''m familiar with Windows Restore and you can try to use it if you haven't disabled it.

I use Norton Go-Back on client's machines especially those proned to system screwups when too many people use the same machine.

Its simple, all you do is open either and pick a date before all the trouble started and go there. The computer restarts and everything is back to that date. All entries are gone after that date so if you had anything important, you did that important backup, right!

 
On the start menu accessories / system tools / system restore. Run system restore and select a restore point prior to when this started.
 
You could try browsing to "c:\documents and settings" and delete any folders that have your username in it; sometimes there may be more than one. You may want to look through any folders you delete to see if you want to back up anything, such as the Desktop folder, Favorites folder, or My Documents folder.
