sorry if this isn't the right post, this was the only place that made sense for me to post a technical question.

i want to install a fresh copy of windows xp on my old tinkpad 600E, but i don't know how to make it boot from the cdrom drive. i've googled tihs online to no avail.

any ideas? thanks, its appreciated.

This is a troubleshooting question and shouldn't be in this part of the forums. It's better suited to the Tech Support of Operating Systems area.

Anyway, with most of the IBM Thinkpads, you can hold down the F1 key when booting to get in to the BIOS and from there you should be able to chose your boot device order.
