How do i block a website?

If all works, i wont be posting here for a few days... So no news, is good news...

In IE: TOOLS - INTERNET OPTIONS - SECURITY - RESTRICTED SITES - Click the SITES button - type in the web address - click ADD - hit OKAY 🙂

Close the browser and try again. If this doesn't work - restart the computer. It should work.


 
It looks to me like the different categories in security settings are just there so you can treat certain sites differently than others. If you add forums.anandtech.com to your restricted sites and then edit your security settings for those sites so that IE won't allow anything to happen, that might block it.
 
Open up the host file, add the listing "forums.anandtech.com 127.0.0.1", save the file and then restart your browser.
 
ipconfig/flushdns is win2k only right, nt does not have that command, was there anything that performed the equivalent?
