My little brother is using limewire after warnings from me to stop. It is dangerous to use and it is slowing down my network. I don't want to get violent on him so I am wondering how to specifically block his pc from my network. I have a 2wire Homeportal 1000HW modem.

Thanks

make sure all the other pcs have a updated antivirus and firewall. i think changing your workgroup name may make the pc unable to communicate with other pcs that have a different workgroup name.

You can use MAC filtering on the router, to allow only specific computers to access the wireless network. You should also enable a WEP key, thats like password protection for the wireless network. If you haven't already you should password protect the router as well, to prevent others from being able to change settings.
