How do I bench a NAS unit

Hi,
So I was wondering if there was any free bench tools out there to bench my NAS. I have a Plextor STORX and one of those small USB mini NAS. Obviously, the mini one would be slower, but i was just wondering how slow. I mapped the drive and ran an ATTO test and CrystalDiskMark... well the numbers looked wierd, so i was wondering if this is the wrong way to do it 😀

I would sparate between Network Bench Mark per-se (like waht I perf provides) and functional Bench Mark on peer-to-peer mapped drive.

For functional Bench Marking Crystal Disk Mark is actually a good idea.

I do not know what the OP means by weird. this is the way it looks while benching through the Network a Map Drive M: using ordinary Giga Home Network.
