How do I become a webhosting reseller?

I've started exploring the forums over at webhostingtalk.com and they'res alot of good info there.

I was wondering if anyone from AT has started up a <successful?> business doing this? I think I have the technical expertise and the commitment to time neccessary to succeed, (I'm a student at college right now.)

My school's resnet is way too flaky anyway to try and resell it-

Maybe a couple kids here are trying to do that 🙂

I have a webhosting resellers account with HTTPme.COM but I'm not reselling any webspace until I gain some more technical knowledge and have time to market my services locally.

Here is a good thread worth reading. Let's say you get their 1GB/10GB plan for $25/mo if you resell 50MB/500MB for $15/mo that's $300/mo - $25/mo HTTPme.COM plan = $275/mo - expenses = profit.

I plan on marketing my webhosting services locally. If I can get at least 3 customers paying $10/mo then I've covered my expenses, sure I'm not making any profit but as long as I break even that's all I care about at this point.

BTW - Anyone can register and participate in the HTTPme.COM forums, you don't have to be a hosting customer there.
