How do i back up the registry in Win ME

I created a batch program to back up my registry when I was using Win 98, now I am on Win ME and apparently it doesn't use user.dat and system.dat. So what files do I need to backup? Also will I need to do the same thing on win 2K, since that is likely the same way? LMK

Start " regedit " then export your registry to a file.

Doesn't WinMe/98 automatically save around 9 backups of your registry?

I know it does the system restore thing, but I only need the registry no the whole system.

Budman, I exported the file like you said, i guess it worked, not quite as cool as my btahc program, but easier.
