you go downtown to the city hall, permits/lic dept
make application for DBA (Doing Business As) ($10)
check records there to make sure you dont have same name as corporation (they can sue you)
Publish for four consecutive weeks in local paper your dba statement
(should cost about $25)
Bring proof of publish (they mail it to you) with original DBA papers back to license dept. They stamp it with seal
Go to bank, open account in that name using your DBA papers and credit card
Go to tax and licensing dept of city hall, apply for business permit, wholesale sales.

Are you talking about becoming a reseller for a certain product line? You'll have to contact the manufactuer of that product line.

You'll also need to get a tax id number. A good resource for those wanting to start a small business is the Small Bussiness Administration

If I remember correctly, they list what you need to do in each state as far as licensing goes (or they have a link to a site that lists this information, I don't remember exactly).

wow thanks. I knew i could ask you guys.

thanks..

I always wanted to start a work from home busness. I think it will work good for me. I have some good backing for the site with virtual-hideout.net backing me up. we got tons of hits a day and advertizing would not be a problem.

well wish me luck :D

and thanks again
