Im having trouble installing farcry, it keeps saying a certain file isnt there when it is. I wanna try slowing the read speed of the drive down, but how? thanks.

you'd be better off trying another drive -- personally I try to always build a machine with two different brands of cd readers (whatever the currect tech would be -- dvd dl +- r/w) to avoid this problem.... many times I come across one drive not being able to correctly read a cd but the other can

yup. I already tried it on another machine, different make of drive. Same problem.

In that case try cleaning the disc... sometimes even the most microscopic of things causes problems... if this doesn't work, might be time to download the game
