How do I activate dual channel mode?

I just put together a new system using some older RAM:

Venice 3000+
Epox HEAI (Via K8T890)
Gigabyte 6600GT
Seasonic S-12 500W
Samsung P120 250GB
2x512MB Cosair Value Select PC3200

The problem is even though the sticks are identical and I put one stick in slot 1 and the other stick in slot 3, it does not show up on POST as being in dual channel mode.

In fact, the POST screen something like DDR400 166Mhz Single Channel

Shouldn't DDR400 RAM be running at 200Mhz?

I ran CPU-Z and it confirmed what the POST screen is telling me.

Is there a setting in CMOS that I should look for? The Epox manual is very vague what the various settings mean.

Check your manual.

Dual channel is either:

Slot 1 & 3 or Slot 1 & 2.

As for the memory speed, check your bios. What is the ram speed set at (i.e. are you running a divider?)
