how do i access Recycle Bin from doS?

Hi how do i access recycle bin from dos... some thing screwed up when i formated and installed winxp... all my files that i backed up to my 2nd hdd is missing.. but the space is still used... and when i click "empty recycle bin" when theres nothing.... it says "are you sure you want to delet 19 files" so i suspect the files r in my recycbin... anyway i can retrieve my files from recycle bin from dos?

In the root DIR of the hardrive in question type "cd recycled" its a hidden directory so it doesn't show up when you type DIR

dir /a

shows hidden and system files. I think it was an undocumented command back in the day, I got in a fight with my computer instructor who didn't believe it existed. I was right, but I was still a brat.
