I need to pick design ideas for the living room, kitchen, bathrooms, & bedrooms.

I'm looking at www.houzz.com for ideas. But there are so many pictures of different styles that it is hard for me to pick.

So far I'm leaning towards the transitional style with light colored floors and counters. But there are still too many options that I can't decide on.:(

I'm not at home yet so no pictures yet.

I like this style but I would change to a light maple colored hardwood floors. The kitchen counters to a white or light gray color. However I like the white cabinets too so I'm not sure if light color counters and cabinets would look good together.

Hire an interior designer, if even just for a consult. Other than that, it's all personal preference - you're responsible for making those choices.

That's about how our kitchen turned out. Same color scheme, although our back counters are a concrete grey quartz vs the black/soapstone they have there.

You can do a light counter and cabinet if you're going for the cottage beach house look, or pair to contrast with dark floors, or have enough variation in color contrast in the counters and cabinets. (IE, you can have white in the counters if there's enough alternate color to offset it)

That's the easy part, just wait till you start looking at accessories to add to rooms, its a nightmare.
