How do get a program to run as a service in WinXP?

Does anyone know how to get a program to run as an invisible service in windows XP? I need it to startup automatically. THe particular program im trying to run as a service is a nice little app called Free SMTP Server (http://www.softstack.com/freesmtp.html). Any advice plz?
