BUMP!

LOOK AT THE DATE!

Remember to check your gaskets/washers each spring and replace with aftermarket parts. The included ones are usually junk. And apply new teflon tape even if you dont think you need it. I just spent a good chunk of the afternoon installing replacement male and female ends & I dont think I absolutely had to.

Also, get yourself a small pipe wrench from the hardware store and a high quality adjustable wrench thats a little oversized for the garden hose. You will appreciate the extra torque and how it makes the job easier.

You don't need Teflon tape. The threads are purely mechanical and used to compress the gasket.

BULLPOOP!

Whenever I dont use teflon tape I get a tiny leak from around the threads. Its not for making the screwing easier, its for adding a smooshed layer to impede water flow, get a tight seal.
