i wonder about why people allow themselves to get that way but i do not look at them with contempt....
why should i? i dont know this person. they could be genuine wonderful people with loving hearts. yea, they're fat. who gives a fuck?
this is where ill say something lame like its whats on the inside that counts..... but seriously, i only wish they would treat themselves better and let their outer self reflect their inner self....

stop eating so much and i bet you won't be as fat. if you don't put food into your mouth, you body cannot get fat on nothing. it's that simple.

Why do ingnorant people like you keep posting? Don't you realize how annoying and how unattractive it is?

It just boggles the mind, how people like you can just keep posting, not smarten yourself up, remain fathead ignorant and not try to change your no-lifestyle.

Stop posting so much and I bet you won't be as annoying. If you don't put ignorance into your post, your reputation as a twerp ingnoramus cannot get large on nothing. It's that simple, you annoying little simpleton.

Do ignorant people like yourself just let themselves go . . . on and on and on?

STOP POSTING, FATHEAD.

What are your definitions of "overweight" and "so far beyond that"?

There are some people that can't even see their feet when looking downwards....

You can edit your age back out of the post. We can tell your age based off the word lovely human used as an insult.

Oh, and obviously you DO care, because otherwise why would you feel compelled to insult someone that is insulting you.

Well yeah, I know that there are some people that can't. I was asking what *his* definition was of the line between the two.

I'm 200lbs and trying to put on weight (5'11) I want to be about 210. But the OP is the kind of person that makes me want to push my goal up to 250.

My grandfather wanted to live a happy life the way he wished. He smoked, and he ate whatever he wanted, he died in his mid 60's and was definitely overweight, but he died happy doing what he wanted. He said before he would rather die in his 60's doing whatever he wanted to to live to be 90 and not enjoy life. I imagine he was fine with the way he ended up going, it wasn't long and drawn out. He was golfing one day and just dropped dead. Had had no heart attacks or medial problems prior. And I know if he knew that would happen he still wouldn't have changed.

I don't enjoy exercise, I don't enjoy veggies. I might not even make it to see 60, but I will be happy until the day I die.

I'm overweight (6'1" and 240 lbs), but I've never "let myself go"

I eat no more than my thinner friends, and I rarely ever eat fast food. I drink some beer, but no more than my offices mates, who are both thinner than I am yet drink and eat more and exercise an equal amount. One of them is crazy skinny, she eats In & Out Burger 1-2 times each week, almost never exercises, and drinks tons of beer.

I even exercise just as much, sometimes more; I go on hikes, I ride my bike around. Many of my thinner friends don't exercise at all.

OP, have you ever stopped to consider that some people are just predisposed to be fat? Your ignorance is astounding.

In my case, I blame a slow metabolism, but I don't actually know jack shit about this stuff.

It's very difficult to answer your question. Not everyone is the same with different metabolisms and ways how they process their food intake. I myself am in my 30's. Until I was 25 I was very thin even though my regular intake consisted of various fast foods. It caught up to me and I started putting on the pounds. Over the next 6-7 years, I tried losing weight with very minimal results. Anyway, I started the Atkins diet thing where I gave up on sugar, carbs and concentrated on vegetables, lean meats etc. I lost 55 lbs and dropped my weight down to 165lbs which is the ideal for my height. I can tell you that even though I eat carefully and make sure that I don't overdo it, I can still put on pounds. The trick is to eat less sugars and carbs with mild exercise.
In short, its easier for some people to eat a lot and not add on any weight whereas it may be very difficult for some people to actually eat a lot less and lose weight.

I agree that people are built differently and such, but what you say about the sugars, carbs, etc, is not correct. If I burned 2500 calories in a day and ate 2000 calories of pure sugar, I would still lose weight. It's not really WHAT you eat that causes weight gain (but will potentially cause problems such as heart disease, cancer, etc), but HOW MUCH. I agree that in a generally healthy diet, processed sugars should be kept low, but carbs in general are perfectly fine, especially if you're active. The real trick to losing weight is monitoring your caloric intake. That's it. You don't have to exercise (although that would be ideal), you don't have to minimize your carb intake to the extreme. Seriously, this is why people are so hindered by diets. They think they have to give up a lot of things. To lose weight, they just have to give up the amount. To be healthier, they probably will have to give up their gluttonous ways, but that just goes hand in hand with learning some self control.

It sounds like a good theory, actually. Fat people are generally viewed as unattractive. More fat people = fewer attractive people.

How would you like it if every woman in your life was obese?

Okay, the theory is moronic, but it does have *some* logic

you make it sound like people are just fat and have absolutely no control over it, which is not true 99% of the time.

That explains why there are no fat gay people. I never realized that before!
