How do Dell LCD monitors rate for quality?

I've seen a few posts about multiple returns and some with people that seem to love them. I wonder how often they arrive with no bad pixels at all. I probably wouldn't notice one bad one here or there right away, but once I did it would be hard to ignore.

Is there any other brand that might be considered better that isn't also twice as expensive?

Thanks,
BGC

The reason Dell's list prices are so high is because they frequently hand out coupons that take off hundreds. I think their monitors are awesome: mine came without any dead pixels.
