How do Compaq Presario notebooks stack up?

I am considering buying a Compaq Presario 2525US notebook for around $1500

Here are the specs. Is there better for that price?

Yeah, you can do a lot better. Especially if you care about games, that's a crappy system. That's integrated video, not a real Radeon. You can get MUCH higher-end hardware from Dell for cheaper (no idea which is better quality though). And I've seen a slightly higher-end Toshiba with a 16MB Geforce 4 Go 420 for $950. I'd rather have it than that system if they were the same price. Even Sony's brand new GRT notebooks can be custom built for cheaper with a 16" screen and better graphics processor.

One thing I'll say for the HP systems, they do seem to have really nice feeling keyboards.
