how do bypass BESS?

uhh my stupid school uses that bess thing to block website, anandtech.com is included in the block list so during computer science i wont be able to get on the forums.... UNLESS.... someone knows a way around it? i heard some kid at school set up a proxy or something on his home comp and would access it when he wanted to get to a site... could i do something like that?
 
They block sites for a reason. Do not attempt to get around it. If you do, you may enjoy the removal from school process.
