How do bus drivers get off of the bus and close the door?

I saw a skit about this one, and it brings up a good point. How the hell do bus drivers close the door and get off of the bus?

I saw some exterior levers that remove the air pressure in the pneumatic closing device. This way the door can be pushed or pulled in any position

Buses around here have a small button inside a small locked door which opens the main doors... This button is located on the front right of the bus exterior, about half a meter over the frontlights
