How do blind people know what color the traffic light is?

When blind people are driving, how can they tell if the light is red or green or yellow? :hmm::hmm:

We know the patterns. The only time it gets fucked up is in Quebec when the lights are sideways.

They do it the same way a deaf guy knows what piece the orchestra is playing when he goes to a concert.

They don't which is why lots of cities are starting to put up lights with different shapes:

I saw these lights all over Canada when I was up there 8 years ago.

Edit: Oops, thought we were talking about color blind people. This thread is stupid.

I'm sure they would figure something out... But one thing I DO know... if you try to carjack them they have every right to blow you away. :awe:

Hey assholes, the position and shape of the light are probably not going to help someone who's totally blind :) But the one blind guy I knew could make out general location and color, so he could see if the light was green - he probably couldn't tell you that it was particularly round, though. Also, he had a guide dog, who definitely knew when to cross.

The same way they can tell when they have wiped enough in the bathroom.

I miss that thread.

Except with the implied parenthesis, they would get the aiming angle wrong and shoot their eye seeing dog instead.

One thing I do know, is that I've never met a blind person that end their sentences with a preposition.
