How do add custom resolution for ATI cards?

Another bump, cos I wanna know too. I did some digging in the registry, but it's not too clear where the resolution/refresh table lives.

If you don't want to mod the registry you'll need to modify the INF files. Failing that you could try a utility like PowerStrip but I've never had much success with this method.

This is the unfortunate reason that I have to run nvidia on my desktop PC, 1400*1050 is great on my 21" and coolbits does the job nicely.

Sorry I don't have anything to really contribute :(

you have to go into the custom resolutions sections

i was able to set my Samsung 955DF to 12x9 @ 80hz [it would be 75hz otherwise] . . . the specs allow 12x10 @ 79hz . . . so i pushed it a little :p

and PS takes a little getting used to . . .plus you can damage your monitor if you run it too far out of range [but not so far out it doesn't display]

generally i don't use it as i game at 11x8 @ 85hz
