How disable or remove XP's built in picture and fax viewer

Hi all, does anyone know how to disable or remove it? Help? I want to use ACDSEE instead.

maybe you can just go into folder options and disable the registered extention, or change it to another program. I havent looked, so thats just off the top of my head.

This was one of the problems that annoyed me during the 6 hours I tried XP. I changed the default viewer to another program, but once I reboot, it would revert back to the default Windows viewer.

I probably could have found a solution, but too many other things bugged me so I went back to Windows 2000 for now.

Just register the extensions with another program.
