Hello everyone,
I have a friend that has a laptop and she asked me if i could swap HDs for her. I dont know how big of a deal it is, i have never worked on a laptop before. So i figure i would could here to get some advice :) I have hear that working on a laptop is alot more difficult then working on a PC, little pieces everwhere, fun stuff like that.
I know what i am doing when it comes to working to PCs, so should working on a laptop be much different?

Thanks

HD's are easy.

Unscrew a panel on the bottom. Pop out old HD. Pop in new hd. They are connected to a slot that looks kinda like a PCMCIA slot.

the prob is certain laptop use proprietary casing or screw to put the hdd in. So see if your notebook falls under that category. If not it's easy to swap the hdd.

Yah look on the bottom of the laptop. Should be labeled or be obvious. Somewhere on bottom will be a panel for the RAM. Somewhere else is usually one for a battery. Usually the 3rd is screwed on tighter (more likely to have screws than button release). that is USUALLY the HD. This is from my uber limited experience with laptops.
