How difficult is it to setup a passive income stream? When I'm searching online for passive income ideas I see a lot of sites that seem more like scams.

I'm not talking a lot of money. Maybe $100-200 a month.

:)

There's the answer. Scam people with passive income schemes.

That's true. Still there are people who do make money from passive income streams. I'm not talking about $10k a month.

I'm talking $100-200 a month.

For just $9.99 via paypal, I can send you a document that will allow you to educate yourself and protect against internet scams.

For $15.99 I can teach you how to scam people protected by that document.

i make more than that on passive income every month. i have a few apps on the ios and android store that i have made in my spaer time. you just put in some time to make them, then let them sit and make some extra money off of them.

if you know how to code at all it's worth giving it a shot.

Any basic labor you can do online can be done by somebody in a third world country for pennies on the dollar.

You might be able to find something entrepreneurial to do depending on what your skills are.

Do you mind giving us some of that? :)

Hey, I'll be glad to share. Send me $50 by the fifth of the money...by US Mail. I'll send you $20 in return! In fact, just to sweeten the pot, once per year, (somewhere between Thanksgiving and Christmas) I'll even send a SECOND $20 payment...

See what a swell guy I am?

I don't like paypal, so your payments will have to be made either by certified check...or cash.

Landlords is an entry level to the passive income market right?

Yes. My old landlord had the perfect setup. When he bought his house years ago it came with 2 apartments that were located in the back. He rented his two apartments and both paid his mortgage. Since his mortgage is paid those apartments now serve as passive income.

First, start with $60k.
Put it in a reasonably safe investment that'll return at least 2% per year.
Done.

It's always that first step that's a problem though.

You want an extra ~$100/month? Buy 461 shares of Johnson and Johnson. Dividends are currently $2.61/share/year. This will require about $46100 to buy these shares. JNJ has increased their dividend for decades so it's a safe bet.

Yeah, those used to be called investments, till the stock market tanked a few years ago.

Fortunately, still have a few not do too bad atm, but not like they should have been on a few others.

He he, really I don't have the free to plunk down on J&J like that, but used to do a lot of work for em.

Have one that made me almost my take home pay last year.

I've written some apps.
Invested in securities.

Make a few thousand a month for sitting on my lazy ass.

But the best thing for an average person to do is start an online business. Have your money work for you.

Invest in something with 5% distribution equal to $2400/year or $48,000. You Americanos have a bunch of ETFs with >5% annual distributions... Lucky bastards.

You have Rob Ford, Justin Bieber and relatively free healthcare.

Pretty easy. Remember, if you have to actually do anything, it's work - and working is for poor people.

Cryptcoin mining has basically become my second job. Just needed to have a hobbyists interest in computers. Average around $2,200/m in pure passive income after electricity costs (with some random spatterings of "striking gold" paying out in the $15k range more than once). Basically like working full-time as a McDonalds manager, but I play video games instead.
