this is inspired by the other topic "how did you meet your significant other". reading thru all those posts made me wonder how you convinced your sig. other that u were "the one". :) or how your significant other won you over..

Does the name "weezergirl" sound a little gross to anyone else?

No offense weezergirl, it's an original name, just a little icky sounding. Reminds me of some girl I graduated with that would always wheeze (sp?) when she coughed.

ANYWAY....

good question. i met my current bf freshman year on my dorm floor. i think he had a crush on my roomie first hehe...he denies it but i know! anyways he chased me for about a year which included making silly little drawings to going out of his way to do incredibly nice things for me. for the longest time i didn't like him at all and thought his antics were annoying and a nuisance. i would basicaly be very mean and cold to him trying to get him not to like me anymore but he was convinced i was the one and wouldn't give up. thru all this he was a friend of mine and a friend of the group i usualy hung out with so it was hard to avoid him..then one day it just clicked and we got together. it was really weird. so all u boys chasing after girls it's not hopeless...but u should know when to give up! :p

I got together with my GF on an annual party for medical students graduating the first pre-clinical course. Before the party we had kissed a couple of times on other parties, but nothing really serious. Anyway, on this party she simply walked to my table and kissed me, and later on in the evening told me she'd like to try something more serious. I was really impressed, since I know she's usually pretty shy. I still smile every time I think about it. :)

Actually my husband got off easy, I loved him from the first time I met him. That was 14 years ago!

Considering she knew what a scum-like (details would be too much for a non-age restricted web site -- and NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS) week I had had, I was surprised she wanted to talk to me... the night after I had met her, I spoke to her online and on the phone for 5 hours... making her decide to cut work the next day to stay up and talk to me. Dinner and videos the next night for 8 hours, dinner the night after, lunch the day after when she told me she wasn't interested.

Daily phone calls and online chats for two weeks worked wonders on THAT. And so she flew to visit me when I relocated for a summer internship, and things went from there. :)

Thank god I'm a lot more confident on the phone then in person!

It was mutual deception!

Yet, strangely enough it has all worked out for the best! I do believe that some things are meant to be, and maybe it was God working on us by bringing us together. Either way, I think we are both better people for having had this relationship.

There I was, standing in front of the wall, holding a board with numbers on it.

She said; " Turn to the right 'click', turn to the left 'click'".

Then I said; " What is a nice girl like you doing here ?"

then she said; " What makes you think, I am a nice girl ?" & gave me her number.

When I got out on probation, I called her up!

I met Psycho at a party he threw for all of his college buddies. I was dating one of his buddies, and we went to the party. He was with another girl then and neither of us was interested in each other AT ALL. We ran back into each other about 3 years later at a bowling center, and his friend and I engaged him in conversation. We all started hanging out and the next thing we knew is that we were bestfriends. I told him I was leaving the guy I was with to go to UNC-CH to pursue by Bachelor's Degree (I had an associate degree at the time). That wasn't the only reason, he mainly worked to much, so we never got to spend time together. Psychp almost started crying and told me that he was going to lose his bestfriend, and I asked him if I stayed would he go out with me. As he sat there on his motorcycle looking down for about 20 seconds, he finally looked up and said yes. He then drove off, and went to go get drunk with his buddies. He couldn't believe that he fell in love with me before we ever kissed or went out. :)

When I saw her I knew she was the one, sort of like the the way you know you've got a good melon from the grocery store. You just know. ;)

We were just friends ... just very close friends.
Then one day she comes up and says she wants to talk to me, and asks me to never fall in love with her, ever! I get that sting up my spine, and we sit down to talk. Then I told her that I had already fallen in love with her, and suddenly she kisses me.

Six days latter we broke up :(
This was two weeks ago ... I'm still suffering :(

I never met a guy who didn't think my wife was the greatest. When she was young she was movie star beautiful. I am not kidding. She still has a smile that could light up the Rose Bowl. She also is one of the most direct, honest, and hard-working people I've ever met. I do not care for tender, sweet, young things in Villager dresses.

For me it was love at first sight. But she wasn't available. She was engaged to one of the richest men in America at the time believe it or not-a movie producer. When she caught him in his limo with a teenage blond that was the end for him. She dropped him like a hot potato. He ultimately apologized and is still one of her best friends today-almost 30 years after she met him.

I didn't miss the opportunity his mistake presented and I asked her out. We married a year later. She's still better than I deserve. I hope every guy gets as lucky as me. :)
