I doubt she "settled" for you. :D

Don't put yourself down like that. You obviously have many qualities she loves and wants or she wouldn't be with you! :D

Well there was only one that made me feel unconditional love, unfortunately she's 10,000 miles away in Israel and we've barely spoken in 7 months... Going back in the summer to start Basic so maybe there's still a chance :(

Maybe we don't and couldn't know, and he/she isn't the one! But if we could or do know, then I would guess intuition? Otherwise, I don't think we know, but we believe that we do....

What??

Why don't you just post under your old username? Everyone knows who you are. If that post didn't give it away I don't know what would!

When, in order to visit me, he crossed a 7 mile bridge in his '78 Diesel Rabbit after having patched a broken engine hose with a pair of underwear and a fork he had in the car.

I probably should have asked myself why the hell he had a pair of underwear and a fork in his car... :p

I am the Prince of Bimbada. All our marriages are arranged. I did not know she was the right one for me, I was told she was the right one. I was assured I would learn to love her. 11 years and 3 children later, I am still learning.

In all honesty, she's the only one who wouldn't leave. I was not a very nice person when we met. I didn't like myself very much, so I didn't really see how anyone else could like me. I was pretty self-destructive, and did a lot of things to try and run a lot of people off. She just wouldn't leave, because she saw something in me that I didn't even see in myself.

 for your ball and chain.
Thanks, but she hates beer. ;) Edit: She would want me to have it, though.

The crazy thing about our relationship is that we fought like cats and dogs before we got married. We've been married now for 8 1/2 years, and rarely fight anymore. Last week, my mom asked me if we really get along as well as we seem to. It was kinda funny.

In this thread, maybe... but I'd say that right now most of AT is probably the same way.

Well, we'd been going out for a year, lived together for two, and she basically said, "Are you going to ask me to marry you, or what?"

I figured I better not say, "Or what."

I knew she was the one for me the minute I met her, way back in high school.
We were always friends but never hooked up because one of us was seeing someone.
When I was 21, she lived in the apartment upstairs. I fished around a bit but never got serious. She was seeing the man she would eventually marry.
One night I was out and ran into her sister. I asked how Kelly was and her sister said "as a matter of fact she's pretty bummed, she's just finishing up her divorce".
I asked for her phone number and bolted.
When I got home it was about midnight, but I wasn't going to miss the opportunity and called her.
We dated for a couple years and we've been married for 9.
Some days it's been hell and some days it's been bliss, but I've always known she was the one.
