How did you learn there's no such thing as Santa Claus?

I think my older brother told me. I don't remember being particularly devastated by the revelation.

I reasoned it out at a very young age. I had pretty good logic for a 3 year old.

My logic from the time: I go with my mom to buy presents for my dad. I got with my dad to by presents for my mom. The only presents my parents get are the ones I saw them buy for each other. Therefore nobody else is bringing presents. No santa clause.

Is that like a subordinate clause?
;)

A roving band of secular humanists cornered me in the sandlot when I was three.

I don't believe she's as stupid as she leads people to believe. i.e. "What's a Wal-mart?"

I stopped believing in Santa, the Easter Bunny, Jesus, the Tooth Fairy, and God all on the same day. I was like 7. I also didn't believe a word my parents said for the next 10 years.

A Nerf Soccer Ball ruined it for me.

Im the youngest of 5, so I think my parents were relatively sick of trying to hide it from me. In the corner of their room was a HUGE pile of presents... we always had presents everywhere as we have a large, extended family. So anyways on this pile was one that I thought was wrapped kinda "cool" Like a big piece of candy or something. Round in the middle and the paper just wrapped around it on each end tied with ribbon "Cool" I thought

NOT cool when that very same present appeared on my pile on Christmas morning... Damn you Nerf Soccer ball!

I remember not believing in Santa when I was three or so, and then at the age of five I heard jingle-bells coming from the sky. Instantly I was reconverted. No idea when I stopped believing in Santa for good... probably when I was six or so.

I honestly don't remember, but I'm pretty sure I decided that it was totally irrational that there were these invisible, omnipotent beings that could do all these magic acts. Knowing me, I found it insulting that they would lie to me and take advantage of my childish innocence.

Yes, I was an unusual child and took myself way to seriously. Still do. :)

I noted that too... I can still picture the EXACT paper today too. Damn you lazy parents! I'm making SURE to keep it hidden from my kids as long as possible. Blind faith and hope is something every child (and adult) should have.

My mom told me a few weeks before christmas when I was 7 :p Yes, she's blonde. She also woke me up one morning back in high school to tell me school had been cancelled because of the snow, and that I didn't have to wake up to go
