Gurck was my Troll Shaman's name in Everquest and became what people knew me by. I just thought it sounded like something a Troll might be named (they're not too bright) and a lot of the better ones (Thak was the one I really wanted, kudos to Gary Larson for that one) were already taken. It didn't even occur to me that people might think of it with a soft G and hence think I intentionally named myself jerk - but who's to say my subconscious didn't? ;)

It's unique.
Even Google has nothing else to say. I just wanted to create a totally unique nick and I was successful :)

supposed to be a password, but i thought it was cool as a sn. been that way for many many years

there's two bad things that come out of the sn:
1 its been changed to maxipadwanka
2 a wanka (wanker) is well, you know what.

When I was like 12 I started playing SC on battlenet and used the name Apacalypse_20. Notice how I spelled apocalypse wrong :D. A few days later I had to change my AIM sn, lost my password maybe, I don't really remember. 'apacalypse' was too long so I used apac...and aim didn't accept an underscore so I replaced it with a 0. apac020.

My usual screen name is Supermercado but I think that was taken when I signed up here. I couldn't get it for some reason. I used to play CS in a clan and one day, one of the newest guys on the team didn't know my name and he accidentally called me SuperCommando rather than Supermercado. So when I signed up here, that's what I used. I've thought about changing it to Supermercado but then all 2 people that recognize me as SuperCommando would get confused :)

Years ago, in like 8th grade, I was playing rainbow six and a friend got the name 'I want Shania Twain' or something along those lines.
I called myself 'so do I'
He dropped the name the next round but I kept it for a while. Then, when HL came out, I tried to make it 'So do I' but I forgot the quotes, and it came out So. I decided I liked it and stuck with it.

Later I changed it to 'So?' and that is what I go by in all my games, but unfortunately, AT doesn't allow '?' in the name, so I am back to 'So'

I am horrible at thinking of usernames so I thought about things I like. Well, WWII history is one of those things so I thought of German armor I admired. If I would have put Tiger, King Tiger or Panther people would only associate it with an animal. Thus, PanzerIV was created. :)
