Blood alone moves the wheels of history! Have you ever asked yourselves in an hour of meditation, which everyone finds during the day, how long we have been striving for greatness?

We are warriors! Posters of the Anandtech Off Topic Forum, I ask you once more, rise, and be worthy of this historical hour!

I say, posters of the world, unit. We must never acquiesce. For it is together, together that we prevail!

Came to AT looking at hardware a while back, asked some questions in the technical forums, and stumbled into ATOT. And I...stayed?

ATOT found me way back 1999. Lurked for a while, decided to respond to a post, so I had to register early 2000. :D

I don't know if I found Anand's site before the switch about 10yrs ago, but I started lurking here in '99. That quickly educated me about "RTFM!!!1!!!" and "search!" before posting. Subsequently, I wasn't really compelled to register or post for a long time. But, eventually, I reached the point where I couldn't contain my desire to join in on some of the discussions and troubleshooting threads.

ATOT was a different place back then, and I lurked there mostly. Eventually the sense of community that existed at the time pulled me in, and I posted on and off for years. Then they unblocked AOL and it has been all downhill since :p

I just turned over a rock and it slithered out...:D

I used to come here from time to time when working on computer related problems....I'd USUALLY find the necessary information...but sometimes, I'd go to a few different sites looking as well.
Back in the early days, I rarely joined forums...never had the time to mess with them, didn't care about the "social aspect" of any of them, they were tools for me.

I came here for help when I built my first PC in 2003. I found the site through a search on Google. My first post was in the Motherboards forum.

8 years ago I stumbled across Hardforum. Didn't like the layout or the members, but someone posted a link to here regarding a bad trade & I followed it. I really liked the rules & values that were enforced here. Some of those are gone now but it is still a great place to hang out.
