Found through school temporary work program (STEPS - Studen Temporary Employment Placement Service). Worked there for about 1.5 years until I graduated. Was looking for a full time job (elsewhere) when suddenly one fell into my lap there. Still there, almost 15 years later! :)

i moved, wanted satellite, asked the guy as i signed up if he knew anyone who was hiring in the area, and he said he was

sounded interesting, so i started working for him. turns out he didnt do just satellite, but also did work for a wireless ISP in the area doing installs, so now i pretty much just work for this ISP as their lead installer

theyre sending me to Wichita tomorrow....i hate going down there :/

but otherwise i like the work

Craigslist! Posted my resume on there. My current boss found my resume on there and 2 major corporations found it on there as well.

^ similar, "Recruited" is probably more accurate for us than "Word of mouth."

The company I worked for was bought out and I didn't feel like moving to keep my job. While I was enjoying some time off one of the managers from it recruited me for the new company he was starting.
