Woke up at my usual time of 6am and saw a text from my brother in law that said it.

I was watching the Phillies game and the fans started chanting, "USA, USA!"

Was changing the channel to watch The Unit, and saw a fuzzy news broadcast on instead (ended up that it was UPN rebroadcasting FOX). Got pissed, then noticed something about Osama being dead, so I wasn't really sure if it was some episode of The Unit or real news until I hit ATOT.

Somewhere on the Internet.

Although, had I not used the Internet in the past 48 hours I would have found out today in a newspaper at a corner store.

I was at a wedding reception, someone at our table got a text about it. Within a couple minutes, almost everyone's face was lighted by their cellphones.

I was browsing Engadget and someone in the comments posted about it. Then I went to CNN and other sites to verify. I was banned from AT for a couple of days or else I would have learned it from here. No better place to learn important news than ATOT.

I was checking the news just before I was about to go to bed and saw the "breaking news". I stayed up to watch Obama's statement.

I was flying a sortie over Afghanistan and some chatter came across one of the mIRC rooms. Then in our intel room, one of our IA's confirmed it happened.

Pretty crazy to think of how close, proximity wise, I was.

my mom sent me a text, she saw it scroll on a tv at a bar. I had just gotten home from work not too long before that point.

Sure enough, searching google news brought up a whole imperial shit-ton of news stories. And I mean a heaping imperial shit-ton.
I then proceeded to get angry at a particular man who made me wait over an hour after telling me he would speak to me at a certain time. Respect time people - you have things to do, and so do I. :D Then again, that news conference started just when I actually started to figure out what was going on... so I didn't actually have to wait. :D

Morning news, getting ready for work.
This definitely will not be as memorable as hearing about 9/11.

Who seriously uses Twitter, other than athletes?
