How did the grand theft auto sand andreas(PC obviously) patch work out?

Ok, i wanna finish up this game, but i was curious if the crashes and lockups and such were still rampent. I know the patch fixed the hot coffee mod or what not, but what about all the problems? Did they even address one, anything?Anybody know? I know i could play the game and find out, but the crashes were random at best on my comp.

Speaking of the Hot Coffee mod, where can I get it? I'm going to do without the patch, there are a few bugs for me, but nothing frequent or that makes it unplayable.
