How did MS make it so Xbox DVD can't be 'seen' on PC DVD

1) Xbox game on Xbox DVD player is 'seen' fine.
2) Xbox game on PC DVD player is 'invisible'.
3) DVD movie on Xbox DVD player is 'seen' fine.
4) DVD movie on PC DVD player is 'seen' fine.

How did MS do that?
 
Because it's a totally different file format and way the DVD is burned?

EDIT: Also note that XBox DVD's are created the exact opposite from DVD movies/software. The Xbox dvd reads from the outside in, so hence the DVD's are created from the outside in, not the inside out of the disc.
