How did meatloaf get such a bad rap?

As I sit and eat my meatloaf sandwich, I can only wonder how meatloaf ever got the bad rap. I love the stuff.

I love meatloaf. The recipe my mom uses is the best ever (I think it was on the back of the Quaker Oats can at some point - may still be). As much as I love meatloaf, I think the next couple days when we have leftovers for meatloaf sandwiches is even better.

A good piece of meatloaf is heavenly. I think it got a bad rap from school lunches where the meatloaf was thrown together with whatever was left.
