How did man live before Kielbasa?

The one thing I always love about Easter is that since we're a bunch of Polocks (among other things), we always cook up some wiejska kielbasa (no veal in it though). Boy does it taste good. None of the grocery store stuff, some fresh from the local Polish place around here.

My mom's side of the family has Yugoslavian roots and my girlfriends father is Hungarian. We have a little local Hungarian meat store that we get our kielbasa and brats from. Totally awesome stuff, really spicy and juicy. It's great in stuffed cabbage and even on a hot dog roll with mustard and kraut.

Med chop 1 large onion.
Med chop 1 large green pepper
Med chop 1 large red pepper
saute until soft in olive oil
Add two cloves of minced garlic

add 3 kelbasi cut into 3/4 inch slices.
Add 3 - 4 potatoes cubed

Add 3 Tablespoons guldens spicy brown mustard

satue until potatoes are cooked.

Add one can of saurkraut and heat thru.

serve on whole wheat baggettes (scoop out middle of bread)

🙂
