When I need to reregister my truck, I'll get ATOTLOL.

LOL...same. I think that when ever I see derivatives of 2FST4U and the like as well.

I think I PWN HRD is the only funny one in this thread so far.

There are alot of red light cameras here, and knew instantly what it was about =]

what is it about? I dont know what 8B does with redlight cameras

The font used on some plates makes the characters hard to differentiate for a passer-by who wants to call the cops in on you.

I had a motorcycle with a plate that read VWVVWVW, you cold hardly tell what was a V and what was a W. I don't see how this would work with a camera though as whomever is viewing the photo can take their time reading it.

I think most people wouldn't even realize what half of these acronyms stand for.

Mind sharing?

Never heard of that.

I think it fucks gambles with the OCR ... 8B8BB8B88 ... bound to count at least 1 B as an 8 and vs vsa ...

So, if you have an 8 or a B in your license plate, there's a 1/11 chance that the OCR is going to get your plate wrong? In which case, wouldn't they simply kick it out to a human to correct it? "Ahhh, it's that jerk again who thinks he's immune from our cameras."

The DMV is not in touch w/ it's customers, let alone all the internet qwirks.
GT - a common car term
FOOM - ppl say silly things, maybe the snd of the customer thinks his car makes
W - gotta have 7 letters to be 1337.

Or the DMV rep. just thought it was a bunch of random letters that mean something only to the customer.

Well that's assuming when it gets it wrong it gives some sort of error, and that whoever is in charge of that cares enough to go hunting for the real plate #. If the camera mistakes it for another number that exists then that person may get screwed, but you're in the clear.

my favorite was back when I was going to college. I worked at a QuikTrip, and there was a pompous ass of a manager that had "IMANAGE" on his plates.

Ooooo, big QuikTrip manager

Now if enough people from your state do it you'll be getting tickets for the other guys, and they'll get some for you haha.

Time to start putting polarizing filters over top of the plates.

which would be illegal in TX, but I guess it would only be illegal if you were caught...

I believe that's illegal anywhere. All it takes is for a patrol car to notice one and pull you over. Not as easy to hide as a radar detector (in the states where they are illegal).

Get The Fuck Out Of My Way.

Which makes zero sense unless it's a front license plate and is backwards like the markings on ambulances so it can be read in the rear view mirror of the driver in front of them.
All my homies know this.
