for championship fights the champion get a guarenteed purse of like $25M and more if he wins.

why didnt the boxing organization go the way of UFC where the organiztion keeps the lion's share of the $?
And if the boxing organztion started out that way, then how did they lose that control?

It's the amount a boxer gets regardless what the boxing promoter makes (profit). Imagine if a fight takes place and a few people buy tickets on the venue and PPV. That's a loss for them, not a boxer if he took the percentage of the profit as price money. That's why you'll always get to see top ranked boxers get $$$ guaranteed win or lose. Losers/not the champion usually get a smaller amount.

interest in boxing has been in freefall for decades, even in the tyson days. only title fights are talked about, and even then the undercard will be ignored. tv channels would rather not show the undercard at all, while pay-per-view relies on it heavily to pad the time for its outrageous price.

boxing doesn't have a singular organization owning and promoting itself, like ultimate fighting championship (which is just 1 of several in its class). there are separate, and multiple, bodies for sanctioning and promotion. of course these bodies, including sponsors, venues, lawyers, insurance, et cetera, stand to gain far more than any fighter or stable of fighters, and always have.

by the way, your spelling looks like it's gone a few rounds itself 😛

edit:
don king is a colossal piece of shit
